Governance

West End Sports & Social Club (WESSC) is the operational and trading name of the Oakley Institute, a registered charity.

The objects of the charity are to provide sporting and social facilities for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Esher (West End), Surrey.

 

The Club is managed by a Management Committee of Officers who are voted in at the AGM which takes place in June each year. The current Officers are:

  • Co-Chairman - David Parcell

  • Co-Chairman - Aidan Baker

  • Treasurer - Lee Dellar

 

At the same AGM, 5 Trustees are elected/co-opted and 3 appointed. The current Trustees are:

  • Elected - Michael Koops ( Chairman)

  • Elected - Adam Brenner

  • Elected - David Parcell

  • Elected - Ruth Loveridge

  • Co-opted - Simon Battensby

  • Cricket Club Appointee - Chris Hambleton

  • Football Club Appointee - Keith Harris

  • PCC Appointee - Peter Bedford

 

The Management Committee will facilitate the running of the Club in conjunction with the Chairman of the Trustees.

The Management Committee have appointed other Committee members to carry out specific roles:

  • Membership Secretary - Jackie Bacon
  • Social Secretary - Ruth Loveridge
  • Buildings Officer - Stephen Foster
